Kerhonkson, NY is a Real Place...

...and we've been there: TWICE.

After a long journey south of the border, we arrived at our destination in Kerhonkson, NY. There was a lot of driving and not a lot of nutritious food along the way, until we arrived at the conference in New York and stumbled upon a market in the middle of the Catskills.

It's called the Saunderskill Farms and it's like an oasis of delicious local food on stretch of otherwise unimpressive highway in NY state. This amazing market sustained us for hours - we stocked up on lunch, dinner and snacks for the road...

This is the second time we've visited Kerhonkson and the first time we were there, Saunderskill Farms was a pleasant discovery. This time, it was a destination point. Here are a couple of photos of it.

This is generally how awesome it looks.

The sandwiches are home made right onsite, and they are brought out as needed. They heard us talking about the artichoke sandwich, and BAM, they made another one...

This is an example of how happy we were in there. We hung around and took photos, then we ate outside on the patio.

And here's the only snapshot I have from the conference - Good Lovelies, Lisa from Madison Violet, Jadea and Jory. (Not in that order.)

And from the talented photographer, Jake Jacobson, at NERFA (the conference we attended at a whirlwind pace) this photo of our showcase. Such an enjoyable though brief performance!
