U.S.A. bound!

Hello fall, there you are creeping in. One minute it's summer, and then everything is tinged orange and red. Time to hit the road, sweaters packed and shorts stowed away for another year.

We are about to head out on our first driving tour in a long time. We're excited about packing the car from home, bringing along all of the things we miss when flying - pillows and coffee grinder, lap desk (no kidding) and cereal, skipping ropes and extra boots. Tomorrow we head south for the first ever Good Lovelies tour of North and South Carolina. And on the way home we'll also be playing The Festy (www.thefesty.com) in Virginia, and shows in Washington, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts.

Here's a picture of the flag in the staircase of the Old Louisiana State Capitol building in Baton Rouge. We were there for under 24 hours. But in that short time, we played three short sets, ate some fried green tomatoes and gumbo and danced along to a Zydeco band. (Footage to follow!) Hope to see you out there on the road this month.
